MrBeast figured out something that many businesses still struggle to understand: getting attention is one thing. Turning that attention into a business is something else entirely.

Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, built one of the biggest audiences on YouTube by creating videos people feel compelled to click on. Huge challenges, unexpected twists, massive prizes, and eye-catching titles are all part of the formula. But the bigger story is what he has done with that audience.

His business now extends well beyond YouTube, including Feastables chocolate, the Beast Games television series, and Beast Philanthropy. In September 2026, Google also announced a multiyear partnership with Beast Industries involving Gemini and Google Health. Source: Google

MrBeast is not simply creating videos. He is building an ecosystem around a brand.

For small businesses, there are some important lessons here.

1. Make People Stop Scrolling

Think about how many advertisements you see in a day. Most disappear from your memory almost immediately.

MrBeast understands that the first job of content is to earn attention. The concept has to be interesting enough that someone wants to see what happens next.

A local restaurant could apply the same principle without spending millions of dollars. Instead of posting another picture of a burger, it could challenge a customer to identify five ingredients in ten seconds. A plumbing company could show what happens when a homeowner ignores a small leak. A gym could document a real transformation over 30 days.

The point is not to copy MrBeast's style. It is to give people a reason to stop, watch, and remember you.

Boring marketing is easy to ignore, even when the product is good.

2. Sell the Brand, Not Just the Product

One of MrBeast's most interesting business moves is Feastables.

He did not build the chocolate brand from scratch without an audience. He introduced a product to people who already recognized him, then used his media reach to help bring that product into stores.

Feastables has grown into a major business in its own right. A March 2025 report from Fast Company, citing investor documents obtained by Bloomberg, reported $251 million in sales for 2024. Read the report.

That is a powerful marketing lesson. A business can use the trust, recognition, and community it builds through content to create opportunities beyond the original product.

A Dallas restaurant could build a recognizable personality online and turn that attention into catering orders, merchandise, or a second location. A home services company could become the trusted local expert people recommend to their neighbors.

The product still has to deliver. Attention may get someone through the door, but the customer experience determines whether they return.

3. Every View Should Have a Purpose

MrBeast can generate enormous attention, but the business opportunity does not end when a video goes viral.

The real strategy is connecting content to products, partnerships, distribution, and other revenue streams.

This is where many small businesses lose money. They pay for advertisements, celebrate views and likes, and never check whether those numbers lead to calls, appointments, purchases, or repeat customers.

Imagine spending $1,000 on social media advertising and receiving 50,000 views. That sounds impressive. But if the campaign produces no customers, what did the business actually gain?

Now imagine a smaller campaign that generates 20 qualified leads and five new customers. Depending on the value of those customers, that campaign could be far more valuable.

Marketing needs to be measured by what it accomplishes, not just how much attention it attracts.

4. Build Something You Own

MrBeast's business expansion illustrates another important principle: do not let your entire business depend on one platform or one source of income.

His audience began on YouTube, but his business interests now include consumer products, streaming entertainment, and philanthropy. The underlying audience and brand can support multiple activities.

Small businesses can use the same principle at a realistic scale.

Build an email list instead of depending entirely on social media followers. Develop a website that brings in customers through search. Encourage satisfied customers to leave reviews. Create a referral program. Collect useful customer information with permission and use it to improve the experience.

Social media can help people discover you. Your business needs a way to maintain those relationships after the post disappears from someone's feed.

5. Use AI to Find Opportunities, Then Apply Human Judgment

There is one more lesson that matters for businesses trying to grow without wasting money.

MrBeast's marketing operates at an enormous scale, but smaller companies do not need enormous budgets to become more strategic.

They need to understand their market. What are competitors doing well? Which customer questions are going unanswered? What are people searching for? Where are potential customers choosing someone else, and why?

AI can help analyze competitors, identify patterns, organize customer feedback, and uncover opportunities. But data alone does not build a business. Someone still needs to decide which opportunities are worth pursuing and how to turn them into an effective plan.

That is where KLIXO comes in.
